Sample Genome Data?
Hi,
I'm interested in participating in the hackathon and created an account on genomelink.com. Unfortunately, before it lets me reach the dashboard, they require me to upload my genome data from 23andMe, Ancestry.com, or MyHeritage.com. I've never used these and doubt I can get the results in time if I signed up for one now, so I was wondering, is there a place where I can get a sample genome txt or zip file? I just need something to test my app with.
Thanks,
Eric

Ah, that helps, thanks. Is there a way to log into the dashboard with those users or can we not access that without our own genome data?

Hi Eric,
You should create your dev account from this website: https://genomelink.io/developers/.
(Signing up from https://genomelink.io/ brings you to our consumer product, which analyzes user genome data for the genetic tendencies of traits). You may access the dashboard by uploading any human genome data, it doesn't have to be yours.

Cool, I think I get that, I was just wondering if there's a place to get a random human genome's data, since I can't get mine in time?

Hi @Eric and @Bethel, you can get human SNP data from this website: https://opensnp.org/snps
This site collects genotyped data voluntarily uploaded by their owners.

Yep, that looks like exactly what I need. Thanks @Kristina!
